Indian Premier League is back again
4th edition is going to start on 8/4/2011
This time team count has increased to 10 than 8 to last editions
but they had managed to keep match count the same as 70+4=74
Each team will play against 5 teams 2 times once at home ground,then at opposition ground.With the remaining 4 teams they play total 4 matches as 2 at home,2 at opposition ground.
They made changes in deciding tournament winner by eliminating semifinals & introduced qualifiers,eliminators
of the top 4 teams A,B,C,D they decide winners as
1st-A vs B
2nd-C vs D (1 will get eliminated)
3rd-loser of 1st vs winner of 2nd
4th-winner of 1st vs winner of 3rd
in this they provided more probabality even to teams at 3,4 positions
as this is IPL-4 they could have kept 4 matches at end
